An aluminum fence from Fence-Depot.com is installed using posts that have pre-routed holes specifically placed for the height of the fence being used. These holes are the proper size of the horizontal rail of the fence so it is a tight fit. The holes are punched from the top of the post down. This type of fencing is not installed like your typical wood fence. You don't just install all of the posts and then come back later and hang the fence sections onto the posts with brackets. Brackets are not used with this type of fence system. This type of fencing is installed piece by piece. You would install a post, then attach a fence section, then the next post. The horizontal rail of the fence section slides into the posts on each side about 3/4". Then a painted hex head screw is drilled through the post and into the rail to prevent rattling.
